Seating and Mobility Evaluations
Specialized Evaluations to ensure most appropriate equipment to meet you and your loved one's needs
Our clinicians are Physical Therapists (PTs) and Occupational Therapists (OTs), each with over 15 years of clinical experience. Expertise includes areas of pediatrics, developmental disabilities and those with neurological impairments.

Our evaluations can be in person or virtual. We work closely with your selected Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider to perform the evaluations and determine the most appropriate equipment to meet your needs.

Equipment evaluations include manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, car seats, secondary seating, bathroom equipment and standers.

After our evaluation, we write a letter of medical necessity to your insurance company which will be signed by your physician. Each insurance has their own coverage and limitations, so even with well written letters, there is always the possibility of a denial. However, we have years of experience of writing these letters and if your insurance covers it, we can articulate why this equipment is medically necessary for you and your loved ones. We do not use form letters, but make sure our letters are personalized to your specific situation. We include our PT evaluations that we perform to justify whatever limitations are present and what the requested equipment can help with improving independence or overall health.
Fitting and training on Durable Medical Equipment
Ensuring proper fit and usage of equipment
Just because a piece of equipment works in theory, it may not actually meet your needs. We want to ensure that the equipment we order properly fits you upon delivery. When possible, we want to be a part of the delivery process to make any adjustments needed to the equipment. We want to train you and your loved ones how to properly use, to transfer in and out, and to properly position you or your loved one in the equipment.
